First results of the EuroMillions lottery

EuroMillions is a pan-European lottery. The EuroMillions lottery was created 7 February 2004 of the year. How is the lottery carried out?

The Superdraw rules are no different from the regular Euromillions lottery draw., the difference between them is only in the size of the prize being played. If no one wins the jackpot according to the results of the drawing, then its amount is increased and transferred to the next circulation, and this happens until then, until no one picks it or until it reaches the maximum value. From February 2020 year, the maximum jackpot size increased from 190 million euros up to 200 million. Minimum prize size, which is played during Superdraw, significantly different from the starting jackpot of the EuroMillions lottery 17 million , and starts with 100 million euros, thereby attracting a large number of participants, those who want to get it.

Superdraw EuroMillions with such large jackpots was made possible thanks to contributions from the pan-European lottery's special reserve fund. 8.6% from the total income of each draw, EuroMillions are transferred to the General Prize Fund, which is used for the main prize of the Superdraw drawing.

New rules regarding accumulations have been introduced 7 November 2009 of the year:

  • A limit has been introduced for the jackpot. The jackpot can accumulate until then, when its amount reaches EUR185.000.000 or more. Then the jackpot remains at this level, and all additional prize money is added to the winner of the next prize category, in which there is a winner (5 main numbers + 1 lucky star number or even just 5 main numbers).
  • After that, like a jackpot, reached the established limit, won, the limit increases by EUR5,000,000. (In other words, After that, like a jackpot, reaching the limit of EUR185,000,000 is won, the next limit is set at EUR190,000,000, and next time - EUR195,000,000 and so on).
  • If the EUR190,000,000 jackpot is not won, it will remain at the same level until its winner is found, and all additional prize money will be added to the next prize category, by which the winner will be determined.

12 January 2012 a new rule was introduced, which limits the jackpot to EUR190,000,000 without the possibility of increasing the limit. And if the jackpot remains unwon after 2 drawings, the money is distributed among the winners of the next prize category. At the moment the Euro Millions jackpot cannot accumulate more than GBP161.5 million.
